[Video]Commission ESXi Hosts & Creating a New Workload Domain in VCF 9

The video below is walk through of commissioning ESXi hosts in a VCF 9.0 Management Domain vCenter and then creating a new Workload Domain with those hosts. The 3 hosts provisioned are my usual SuperMicro E300 with vSAN ESA.

Check out the video and please let me know what you think or have any questions.

  1. Good video. I took a different route. I built vcenter and 3 esx host outside of VCF then from Operation/Inventory I selected import vcenter, 1st pass of validations worked fine, then fill in your NSX info then run 2nd validation, but it failed with “The NSX install image for version 9.0.1.0.24952111 was not found”. But unable to download from binaries anything 901? Any thoughts?

    Thanks for all your work!

    1. Thanks for the kind words. Is SDDC Manager at 9.0.1? You might need to look in the SDDC Binary Management under ‘Install Binaries’ and look for that exact NSX version and build and then re-try validation. Being it’s asking for 9.0.1, tells me you are at 9.0.1, but would need more information.
